Pure Evil?

Here is a t-shirt that I think is really, really funny. There have been times that I have been scared of dolls - you know the dolls I'm talking about - dolls with the psycho look in their eyes. Have you ever looked at a doll and it seemed like the doll's eyes were following your every movement? That's what I'm talking about here.

The doll on this shirt reminds me of one of those scary dolls. Just like this one - she's pure evil for sure...

You can find this great design here on a variety of tees for women, men, teens, kids and babies. I don't know though... Wearing this shirt may scar the young ones for life. :)

Fat Tuesday

"Laissez les bon temps rouler!"
I chose this shirt because today is Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras for the French speakers. Fat Tuesday is also known as Shrove Tuesday and Pancake Day. Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday which signifies the beginning of the Christian season of Lent. Fat Tuesday is so named because it is the last chance to "pig out" and live it up before Lent begins and people traditionally give up some vice or special treat (at least for the length of the Lenten season).
You can purchase or view today's t-shirt choice here. There are many styles and colors from which to choose and this design is available in men's, women's, teens, kids and baby sizes.

President's Day

Today is President's Day, which is a celebration of the birthdays of both former US presidents Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Both presidents were born in February, and originally Washington's birthday was a federal holiday. Some states also celebrated Lincoln's birthday as a separate holiday, but it was not recognized federally.

In 1968, a law was enacted that affected several federal holidays. One of these holidays was Washington's Birthday, the observation of which was shifted to the third Monday in February each year. This law took effect in 1971, was designed to simplify the yearly calendar of holidays and give federal employees some standard three-day weekends in the process. Lucky them! :)Apparently, President's Day is still "officially" known as Washington's Birthday, but has become popularly and legally in some states, known as "President's Day."

So now the third Monday in February is a day for honoring both Washington and Lincoln, as well as all the men who have served in the office of President of the United States.

The George Washington t-shirt offers the following inspirational quote:

"If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." - George Washington

This shirt can be viewed and purchased here.

The Abraham Lincoln tee features these words of wisdom:

"As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no democracy." - Abraham Lincoln

You can see more styles and purchase the Abe Lincoln shirt here.

Both of these tees are available in a variety of colors, styles and sizes for men, women, teens, kids and even freedom-loving babies.

Happy Birthday Abe and George!

2007 - Year of the Golden Pig

For my first entry, I chose a shirt that features the Golden Pig in celebration of the 2007 Chinese New Year. Happy New Year to you all!

The pig is one of 12 animals on the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac, which follows the lunar calendar. Chinese astrology dictates that people born in pig years are polite, honest, hardworking and loyal. Being born in a pig year is also supposed to bring good luck and fortune, which is why many Chinese like to have babies in a pig year. I actually saw a news report on TV this evening that said that Chinese hospitals are seriously overcrowded due to couples timing their childbirth so that babies would be born in the year of the Golden Pig.

Traditionally, Asian families celebrate the lunar new year with feasts and prayer.

I chose this t-shirt because I love the representation of the pig, as well as the great colors and Asian feel. It's so festive! You can click the picture to see this design on other t-shirts and products, or click here to see more. This design is available on shirts for men, women, teens, kids, and even babies.
